Hello, I'm a Director/DP and new to Ad Bakery. Would love to connect with an interested copywriter in collaborating on a Doritos spot. Also looking to ad a few more specs to my portfolio. You can check out my work at www.maxgutierrez.net. Thanks!

Broken Souls is a screenplay that was adapted from the book of my true life story entitled, " The Torment’s of the Modest, Secluded Farm Life".
I attended private school and was constantly under pressure from my strict parents who believed that being "sheltered" from the world was the only way to live a pure and healthy life. I was repressed in everything that I did as I grew up in that environment. I was never exposed to any of the realities that most children of today can see by just… Continue
As Adrian mentioned on the forum, toilet manufacturers' American Standard have bought a version of the epic Sure Lock video for use on the web. As many of you know, this video has received a huge amount of attention in the past 18 months or so - including a Canadian Comedy Award. This move is just another indication of the way the web, and… Continue

Hello,
My name is Doris Anne Beaulieu and I’d like to this time to talk to mail order companies and parents.
To parents I have a wonderful craft book for your child to give his or her teacher at the end of the school year. My Easy and Inexpensive Holiday Classroom Crafts for Teachers book is truly a gift that will forever keep giving from year to year, holiday after holiday. It’s a craft book for developing creative minds. This book will tell you what items you will need for each… Continue
TV advertisers are finally discovering that YouTube + viral imagination = free media.
The good news for you is that money is not a barrier, which means that marketers of any size can play. But the rules are different, as they always are online.
Because media is free but attention is not (this is flipped from TV world) you need to make a…Continue
Hi all. You might remember a while back we held our first brand assignment with Baxter of California. Today we have the results to showcase – a spoof from the very talented Mark Freiburger. Bonus points to anyone who can place the actor (from one of the great trilogies of the 90s).
----
---- After much consideration, Baxter has chosen to work with director Mark Freiburger on this…Continue

This is my Christmas gift to all my readers involved in advertising. I would have made it a Chanukah gift, but I was working through Chanukah and this is a little better than a new pair of socks. But, if you want to think of this as a late Chanukah gift, feel free.
Over the last couple of years I have seen more and more attempts at piggyback advertising, commercials advertising two or more different products in an attempt to save money on media buys by sharing the cost with one or… Continue

Not surprisingly, the most active group here on AdBakery are filmmakers. This is amazing for our community - as online video is the most engaging form of content on the web. Unfortunately though, the participation from non-filmmakers is lacking a bit - and we've become more of a specialty spec house than a mult-media "idea shoppe" these days.
So I’ve been thinking a bit about how we can better include non-filmmakers on the site and focus some more attention towards raw ideas, as well… Continue
I’ve recently been approached by JP Mastey of Baxter of California about working with the AdBakery community on a video project. Just wanted to run our thoughts by you guys to gauge interest.
Firstly, Baxter of California is a premium men’s grooming company out of CA. Their products are carried in boutique shops (i.e. Fred Segal) around the world. They are not large, but they are a very cool brand with some great… Continue
Here's an interesting article on companies struggling to accept their products' alternate uses. This Gatorade "Antidote" idea is a great example. Yeah Gatorade is a scienctifically formulated sport drink, but there are plenty of non-elite athletes buying the stuff to cure a hangover.…
So you have an idea that involves a superstar athlete? It's a little harder to shoot these spec. But, hey, you can still share them on AdBakery.
Here's a collection of spots from ESPN's best commercial ever rankings in 2004. Do you agree with these picks? Next post, classics from the last 4 years.
[This post is brought to you by AdBakery's new discussion thread for song-based ad ideas]
The recent use of indie music in commercials is welldocumented. The days of fans crying "sell-out" are disappearing. TV appears to be the new radio,… Continue
Stumbled on to this article a while back, and it got me thinking about- how kids absorb marketing, how to parent kids about marketing, etc. I don’t have any children right now, but at some point I’m probably going to face the extra tricky task of teaching my little ones about how advertising works – without making daddy’s job out to be one of fibs.
He called me up the other day and told me about an ad idea he had. It's based on a simple observation - Roger Federer's swing is shaped like the Nike Swoosh.
So the idea is to use some schmancy graphics to transition Fed's swing into the iconic trademark. A simple concept that could be very visually effective in my opinion (has Nike never done this?). It could work nicely as 5 - 10 sec tag too.
Hey everyone, this is the site I have been looking for. I have always wanted to make commercials, and now I have a place to show my specs. I started off with a parody ad I did a while back. It was recently featured on G4tv (without my permission). Check it out! http://adbakery.com/video/video/show?id=803531:Video:16806
