Hi Zaina. Welcome to ad bakery!
Maybe you could explore concepts around a "private party/ private recording/ party for one." Just some quick thoughts. Look forward to seeing your ideas!

Try an ad campaign for the new ipod nano as a fashion statement. Make it a video playing necklace. Remember the ipod is a lifestyle choice, it's a status symbol.

I am not a creative but have an ‘idea worm’ constantly bugging me. I don’t share ideas with my creative colleague’s coz I know creative people hate to get idea from outside (although it can be from inside a book or video!)  Here is what I could think of within first half an hour of reading your post. I hope you find it useful.

My brief for ideas (my brief, my ideas!): IPod is a companion and a symbol of being different and unique. It’s an identity for you and for your peer group. All you want to be is with an iPod, wherever you may be. The core idea/ communication in my view should be: “iPod lets the user be comfortable with him/ her, without giving a damn to the cacophony around. The only thing that matters to them is iPod and other IPod users.”

I have just thought loud some ideas for TVC concepts immediately after reading this post. So you can treat it in following ways:

- Treat it as an angel. You can show an iPod user with whom is a digitalized angle, always following him wherever he goes, when he is bored, when is in a bus, when he is working and even when he is going to sleep. I think this digital angel will give a different appeal and grab attention. It can be supported with a nice melodious music.

- iPod can be treated as something having magnetic power that attracts people towards each other, for example various iPod owners have it in their pocket and as they happen to pass by each other, they feel a strange push towards another person, kind of involuntary. It can be treated in a dramatic way and it will reinstate the imagery of iPod signifying ‘peer group’ identity as someone wrote once that losing iPod brand not only means losing a product, but losing a friend (out of peer group).

- The unique white and black color can be used as a base idea to create a TVC in which all iPod users are shown as pure white or black among a crowd of crazy colored masses. The white and black people (it can be their dresses, think MIB) just go around in serenity, giving a familiar smile to each other, while they seem unconcerned with the maddening crowd around.

- You can also portray fascination with iPod in a way that a guy with IPod stands in a queue at the airport and as soon as he is about to reach to the counter, he moves aside as not wanting pause the song that he is listening to and in a cool manner let others go ahead, while some elderly people and the lady on the counter frowning at him, on being so lost.

- IPod is cute and appealing. We can symbolize it with rabbits as they are small and cute species. Imagine a scene in which various people are going around with a cute white or black rabbit hanging from the pocket or purse. The film can show several people around to create a curiosity ‘what’s going around’ and ends with iPod to relate the cute appeal of the brand with rabbits.

Well, they might suck as natural with ideas. If they do, pls never mind. If any concept doesn’t seem clear to you (probably its clear in my mind but not in words), pls do let me know.
